miles per gallon equivalent? or miles per gallon ethanol?
Since E85 has 1/3 of the energy equivalent of gasoline, basically they are figuring if it gets 35 mpg on E85, then that is 110 mpg on regular unleaded. I'm not sure I quite buy that calculation, but that seems to be what they're doing.

So, Burning one gallon of e85 is the same as burning 1.4 gallons of gas. So if he's saying 110mpge on e85 that comes out to, 77 mpg? |
