Push Lawnmowers

ok ok... I know not alot of us on here have lawns, but for the few that do, what kinda mowers do you have? I have a 15 year old lawn machine that was good in its day, but the blades dull and the thing runs like crap so its time for a new one... so, who makes a good one?

I've got a Sears Craftsmen riding mower. Before that I had a Craftsman push behind and it was tits. My dad gave me that one and he's had it since the 80's

yarly. I am using the mower I used to mow my dad's lawn with when I was in gradeschool! Get one with a B&S engine, that way you can find parts and rebuild it if need be. I want to convert a deck I have to run electric.. F-Zuuuew Big Oil

dont buy a new push mower look on CL, i have a toro, or something I just made sure it had a Briggs engine on it , start it before you buy it. once and a while you do have to take the blade off and sharpen it on your bench grinder. Im sure your existing mower is fine just needs a new plug and wire.

I have an old Murry rider with a briggs engine as well

Me and my friends have been been too busy sunbathing off the southern coast of St. Bart's with spider monkeys for the past two weeks, tripping on acid. Changed our whole perspective on shit...so you can Dere-lick my balls cap-i-tan

Just got a Troy Bilt with a B&S engine brand new. Ran like a champ the first time I used it (which it damn well should have!)

I have a Toro riding mower that is about 20 years old and it cuts with great accuracy.

Also, we have a self-propelled Yard Man push mower that we got for free. Lawn Boy push mowers ftw, however. If I bought one, it'd be a Lawn Boy.

The next rider will be a Kubota, no doubt.

lawn boys are what we used to have... the old 2 strokes thatd friggin mow a tree down. but all the new lawn boys I've seen are all plasticy and + 1 for the kabota rider. My grandfather has a diesel Kabota that he runs off his heating oil from his house.

What size deck are you looking for 21 inch cut or bigger? Also depends on how you cut. If you want one that is great at bagging then choose either Snapper or Toro. If you want one for mulching then either Honda or a Newer Lawnboy (without the offset front wheel). I would not get anything with a Briggs and Stratton look for something with a Kawasaki or you can find some with Honda's.

I got pissed that mine never worked for long. SO I hit Sears up and picked up a SWEET deal on a Craftsman 6.25 or 6.75hp push mower can't remember *D. I opted not to get the bag kind.. just mulch or side dispense. It was 170.00 on sale, normally 249.99.. so it was a REALLY good deal, and the bitch is AWESOME.. so gangster.. all low big wheels and low profile deck, with a large engine sittin on the top... bad ass. I mowed muh lawn and then was gunna set my old mower (the one I mowed my dad's lawn with back in gradeschool.. he gave it to me.. B&S engine.. can't remember the brand) to the curb cause it wouldn't stay running..

Fired that brch up and it ran and ran and ran.. the whole gawddamn reason for getting a new mower and it wouldn't stop. SO I was able to save it it KNEW it was going to go to the curb..

Anyway I found a yard machine mower at a unit I was painting. I thought I would be able to save it, but it was fully fucked. I was going to turn it into an electric mower then money didn't allow me to do that.. took the engine off, threw that away and found out the deck was crack pretty severly. My dad (who happens to be a wizz at welding.. welds cans together ) told me he would reweld it. I just got that back this last weekend. I am going to take the engine off the old deck, add a mulch blade to it and I will be sitting with the same gawddamn mower I just bought brand new

Oh well guess there is worse than that still pisses me off a tad.
