Anyone used P.O.D.S. or the lil storage deals?

I am in the process of kicking ass and taking names.. I need to temporarily store my first floor worth of stuff. I can rent a :unit: for 2 months for 206.00 delivered and then they pick it up.

It is prepaid so I pay em when they drop it off. I think this will help out GREATLY. If need be I will have them send another one out to allow me to work on my place without a bunch of crap around with the possibility of it getting ruined.

Anyone use these? Anything I need to look out for/ask/demand? Is there any snags or hidden fees or anything like that?

Please let me know.. I HATE finding out the hard way

I've had a couple questions about PODS, I can never seem to find any concrete information on them. Do they have a weight limit for items you put inside the actual container?

I see these all the time downtown stuffed into alleyways. Contractors around here use them for materials storage when working on renovation projects.

I was looking for something to store my 68 in, my only option right now is a storage container like PODS or a storage center, so I had an interest in PODS, I really wish they would include more information on their website.

We had a POD for a little over four months when we moved a year and a half ago. Our new house wasn't ready for us to move into by the time we had to get out of our previous home. We ended up having to live with my parents for a little over a month.

Anyhow, PODs are ok. No complaints at all. There wasn't any weight limits to my recollection. They did have a no chemical / flammable stuff rule if I remember correctly.

I do know they are making a load off of these things. It is an extremely simple and relatively inexpensive design (plywood and 4x4s wrapped in a hard plastic) so I know they are making coin off of it.

Good to know Yeah and they don't have to store them, if you want it at your place like I want it at mine.. they just drop it off and that is that. If it is made the way you say then it is probably only like 400.00 a box to produce..

we did it twice when we moved...they are good however you must pack stuff much better compared to a moving truck/van when they load it stuff tends to move around alot more....we basically stuck the big furniture and stuff in it nothing breakable at all.
