I used to live in a small town that had Holdermans. They are a step up from the Amish. They actually have cars, base models, no frills AT ALL, and power tools, but wear around bonnets and dresses, and guys look like those guys.. so

MOST people 8-9 out of 10 people are calling Barnanke a douchebag for giving ANOTHER 1/4% interest rate cut. Watch our gas go up another 20 fucking cents because of this. I tell you we as a nation are going to get pissed, not the crap "lets change congress Bullshit" but honest to gawd hold them to their word take on everyone. I hope oil does crash on it's ass.

2 stories in the last 2 days about 2 different types of solar panel technology that should be able to be purchased for residential application within 3 yrs. Something to look foward to. ALSO saw an article about how the gas prices are causing coal prices to rise... SO that means we are going to see a spike in electricity prices also.. just watch.

so the big bad oil companies make too much money off oil sales, yeah a huge amount=9 cents per gallon. wow a huge amount there, especially since the federal government get 18 cents per gallon!! in fact total taxes on gasoline is over 40 cents per gallon. yeah the oil companies are really raking it in there. record profits on record sales, hmmm kind of goes hand in hand dont you think? what we need to do is get the government off the oil companies backs, and let the go out a drill where we know the oil is, and build new refineries to supply the finished product at a much lower price. the governments also need to reduce the number of blends required around the country from 40+ to 2 or 3. that alone will make more gasoline available to the masses, and allow for lower prices. and dont forget that due to the lack of refinery capacity, there are retail companies that are IMPORTING refined gasoline to sell at the pump.

we also need the government to do what is needed to strengthen the dollar against other currencies as that will also reduce the price per barrel of crude oil. dont excoriate the oil companies because they make money, remember that it is not a few fatcats that own big oil, it is the average person on the street. if you have money invested in mutual funds, you likely own a part of big oil.

oh one more thing, before you think that the government should hit the oil companies with a windfall profits tax, all that will do is drive the price of gasoline even higher, and truly kill the economy.
