I've been thinking about getting a few bins for our office and possibly one or two for my home as of late. I've been noticing just how much paper and other stuff we throw away at our office, and it kinds bothers me to tell the truth.
We've been really getting into the whole support your community thing and going green at work these past 6 months and it's a really cool thing honestly. So I think maybe by recycling all of this paper, cardboard, plastic, etc. we would be doing a little bit extra. I know at home i'd have plenty of bottles to contribute LOL.

So anyway, how many of you do it? and would any of you know how I would go about getting a bin?

I'm really digging this going green business (comeing from the guy who owns to gas guzzling, pollution spiting stangs

)

yeah i found a few places that give them for free but they all said our office size is to small. so i guess i'll go get some little ones from home depot

when my sis lived in Germany she said her family threw away the most in the area (americans vs. germans) and they recycled a shit ton and didn't have a lot of packaging to stuff there like here.

I have been recycling for quite some time, not paper.. I keep that (junk mail and such) for fire starting material for winter fires

We started recycling about 6 years ago and we went from around 2 or 3 trash bins on the curb each week to 1.

Drop-off site.
I do, however, bring my junk mail and paper items to be shredded and recycled here at work. It's not a big deal and I don't have paper around the garage piled up.

At work, we print front and back when we can and we re-use any paper that doesn't have "sensitive information" to print on the backs if we can. We also cut up paper into small sheets and make our own notepads from paper that was printed only on one side instead of wasting notebooks and stenos...

Then once all that is done, we recycle

At work we recycle paper, plastic, cardboard, printed circuit boards, solder, batteries, flourecents, etc.

A couple places I called yesterday said that they would pay us for the paper that we recycle and that the bins are donated to us for free... but we couldn't get them

I think some drop offs pay for recycling

Yeah we do alot of printing on paper that has been used before if we dont need to use new paper

no Pinellas county library dropoffs are paying ones... they are just a row of big colorful bins.
there are some local drop offs that do for us/you but the library ones dont

i'd recycle if i wasnt the one PAYING for it... guess that makes me an asshole like Tonto. but my garbage company WM has a recycle truck every tuesday, but in order to get them to take it you MUST buy little blue baggs from local grocerystores and whatnot to put your recycleable into... AND IM already paying them to TAKE my trash
