bad manners? No if any water happens. Denatured Alcohol will not fuck it up and will dissolve any contaminates that were left on the surface. This guy who posted it (it was actually an article from popular science mag) dropped or got himself into the ocean 10 times. He said it worked 9 out of 10 times.. the tenth time didn't work

I always text from the shitter ... and I pulled my cell out a few years ago to check the time and dropped it in the toilet while pissing (yes I was drunk). The screen said "Charger now attached" or something to that effect and it was shot. I got a new phone and let the one I pissed on sit a week or so all separated (casing, battery, keypad, etc. all distached) and when I put it back together it worked for about a year and then i got a new phone.
