Something I have been doing over the past few months is simply hitting new posts and then leaving after only seeing 2-5. I browse a post here and there but don't comment. I am willing to bet the majority of us are doing that.

So I am trying to do something about that and post a lot more to breath some life back in the board, cause there is much left here.

1-3 posts a day and at least 3 new threads a week from each of us would get this place rocking. Why wait till new years to make a resolution?

I noticed a lot of people left as they left school.

On a side note, if DM sends out a "come back" and people do, but only see 5 new threads a day, they don't stay.

I'll try to start more threads about whatever, but I will stay away from just spamming.

I have been on contractor forums and messing with my website trying to tweek it and get the SEO up on it, and just a ton of shit lately. i didn't mean to come off snarky. we really do appreciate those that have stuck around and continue to do so and we do welcome any ideas you may have to help traffic.

i know i'm guilty of not spending as much time on here as i used to. part of it being that the new job doesn't allow me as much goof off time as my other. however, i'll be laid off again here soon so i'll probably be around more.

well to me DM needs a cause or reason to be around...to draw new people, most if not 99% of us came from Stangnet back in the day where do we draw people from now? what is the "point" of DM?

we BS and post random shit...we need some direction IMO, I've been here since DAY ONE and I love this place and all joo guys (and girls) no homo to the guys but I just see it being stagnant right now...

I find threads with a few post but most are a week or two old. I worry someone will say something about being late or digging up a dead thread so I don't post. Sometimes I will but most of the time I just move on. I'm on Dodge forums a lot more now. Maybe I'll throw a link in somewhere and see if it gets any new people

Activity has gone up and down in waves in the past, too, so it's no big deal if things are a little slow right now.

But I definitely agree that without a real focus it's tough to draw more people. I know jades has tried different things and hasn't had any luck, which sucks. I wish I had some suggestions...

we cant be everywhere all the time at all hours of the day. i got rid of those as soon as i got the email that someone had reported the posts. reporting spam posts help us out a great deal.
