and the democrats are not making obama out to be the messiah? please, all they did was introduce palin to the rest of the country. she has far fewer issues than obama has to deal with.

actually since palin is running as VICE PRESIDENT, a lack of experience isnt an issue. beside she has more government experience than obama does by 5 years(she was first elected in 1992 where as obama was first elected in 1997), and she has more executive experience than the other three canididates combined, and mccain has command experience from the military.

at least palin actually did something in office, obama voted present 130 times, and has done nothing of consequence while in office. palin has had to deal with a budget, and make the hard desicions as to what gets cut and what stays. she got property taxes lowered, and she cut the governors salasy and eliminated the governors private jet, among other things.

Wow, really happy to see so many people that get it on here! Even if you are not socially conservative, the small government low taxes stance just makes sense.

Now, tell me why the Digg crowd is so retarded.

Instead of making accusations to wards everyone, why don't you try and prove them wrong first?

I don't listen to Rush either. With such a large amount of people thinking this is a popularity contest it is hard to actually talk the issues with people so
sometimes.

yeah, i'm with you there man. \/ this guy down here has no clue just how much political experience Palin has at actually governing a city, and state whereas Obama has pretty much only been a senator who hasent had to govern squat,or make a single decision where it is solely his ass on the line if something goes wrong, and McCain pretty much only has Military leadership experience.

do YOUR research, stop making false and misleading accusations, and maybe not insult people and you'll get what your looking for out of this debate. im only sad that your not going to like what you find. The fact that many of us ACTUALLY do know about the candidates and their ideas on how to run this country. which will make your insults and buzz words pointless considering we know to question even YOUR mindless logic.

Ummm I am probably the most removed person from the election on this forum.

I have not seen 1 commercial, sign, radio spot, etc because of my location. I have taken time to read up histories of people and honestly I don't want Obama.

The Muslim bullshit is nothing for me, in fact I might be the one who bests understands that here. Indonesia has 34 sects, 11 of them radical. Further more in SE Asia private schools are the best education. We have a school here in Chiang Mai run by Muslims. Guess what? It's one of the best educational institutes around. This holds true for all of SE asia. Furthermore, all these private Christian and Muslim schools? yeah... the kids are al 95% Buddhist anyways.

So why don't I like Obama, well his "hug the world and unite" ideas suck. Let's have a repeat of Kennedy's show of what can happen when an inexperienced leader shows the world he is not ready for foreign policy. *cough* Cuban missle crisis *cough*

I don't like obama's views about taxes and windfalls

The fact that he wants to undo all of Bush's changes, withdrawl from Iraq, and create a nationalized healthcare system within 100 days.

I don't like the fact that in his opinion it would be best to change the national anthem since it is about war. And that he has said that the American flag is a symbol of oppression to others.

Furthermore, sure you have the right to not hold your hand over your heart, BUT NOT WHEN YOU ARE RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT. Be a little bit more patriotic.

I like that he is a great orritor and people are inspired, that is a great quality.

I also like that he has shunned half of the black community like Al Sharpton.

He also has the point about us being able to say racism oppression is gone if a black man can be president, get your lazy whiney ass off welfare.

McCain, well he's just and idiot. Constantly denying his own quotes only to have people quote them right back at them.

I like his Military experience, but why does he vote against Vetrens?

I wonder what would have happened if McCain took Stewart's chance to write off Bush.

As I've said repeatedly, any one that is against legal ownership for firearms by the general populace does not need to be in any position of power. Not to sound like a "gun nut", but the fact of the matter is an armed public is protected against a corrupt government. Obama would like it to where the only people with firearms are the military and police. Wonder how long it will take for the boot of the government to be on everyone's neck?

Thank you whoever took the whale penis tag off.

I only wish the modern Republican party was more worried about keeping our individual liberties and privacy. I know the government needs the rights to do some secret stuff but that doesn't give them the right to listen in to every American. I am not so worried about them hearing what I have to say as I am worried about making sure big brother doesn't completely take over.

I also believe in federalism, but I often wonder if we are so far past that that we could never go back.

an revolution in a highly industrial country will not be brought about by firearms. we are not africa. that arguement is silly.

however, gun control i find to be a silly issue. we are more than capable of killing each other efficiently with nearly any tool, history has many examples of this. most gun violence is related to heavily criminal areas. take away their guns, they will happily stab each other. maybe swords will make a comeback. the criminal element is what needs to be fixed, but i find that the dems, despite their views on guns, are more likely to focus on this area, as opposed to the repubs.

all I have to add is, for once I wish we had some good choices for president, rather than choosing the lesser of 2 evils.

This is exactly why I donated to Bob Barr 2008 — Liberty for America

I realize he currently has no chance of winning, but he still deserves to be in the debates. The 2 party system just isn't good enough and we need to make it easier to let a 3rd party be known. I DO believe in regulations, I don't want the green party in every debate but Barr is polling 6% nationally and 10-12% in some states.

Barr: Small Government, Low Taxes/Consumption Taxes, States Rights/Federalism, Capitalism and free markets.

/rant

I will still vote for McCain.

I agree... republicans keep going further to the right and democrats keep going further left, the gap in the middle keeps getting larger and theres nobody to fill it.

I agree, I think the nominees should be nominated by the people, not the parties

History lesson to be learned.

What happened in Washington DC when hand guns were outlawed? Violence and crime skyrocketed, instantly, and continued. Let's see how it plays out in the next couple of years.

I honestly think they both keep leaning further left. I would be pretty happy if the Republicans were really as right-leaning as they should be but they're not. (One of the reasons I like Palin)

The Dems no doubt are currently just about as far left as you can get.
