While I agree that most of what you see/hear from the media is just bickering about stupid stuff... most of the people on this forum have specifically talked about the issues that actually matter.

On the other hand, I am a big supporter or Ron Paul and Bob Barr. I have actually given a pretty good chunk of the allowed limit to the Bob Barr campaign, but I know there is no way he will ever get up to 15% to be in the debates.

If you are considering a vote for either of the two parties, you are NOT discussing the issues that matter. Plain and simple, the issues are off the table for both parties. They plan to continue the welfare state, destroy the constitution and continue to go to war for the sake of controlling the worlds energy supply. If you are voting for either party, you are ENDORSING the downfall of your country and truly an enemy of the republic.

I applaud you for being willing to stand up for what you believe in. If I knew McCain would win anyway, I would vote for Barr to let the government know which direction I want them to head in. The problem is that no matter what you say, McCain is better than Obama. Obama actually scares me in what he wants to do.

He is no better. On the real issues at hand they have very similar approaches. Their foreign policy, big government and monetary policy is almost identical. Those are the issues, everything else is just a facade to fool the village idiots(ie 200+ million Americans)

issues mean nothing... this is America. The shallow shit means the most. The old soldier and the beauty pagent chick will be embraced over the black guy with big idea's.

Say what you want, but for the issues that I care about, he is better. He isn't where I would want him to be, but he is better than Obama. This is a personal preference... so you can't tell me it is false.

As I have said plenty of times already, I would much rather have a person that is fiscally conservative and cares about individual freedoms, but I am not willing to hand the presidency over to Obama just to make a statement.

What issues matter more than the three I stated.

Of course, I haven't thought for one second that Obama had a chance myself. The sad thing is the masses that buy into the duopoly of the dems/reps and they really have no fundamental difference.

Those are the broad issues that matter. I agree they are both for large government... one is just larger. I dont understand at all how you think they are the same on foreign policy. McCain wants to pull out as matters allow while Obama wants to jump ship ASAP. McCain was spot on with the Georgia issue while Obama's first response was completely wrong.

We will see if McCain will be able to actually cut spending, but we KNOW Obama wont cut spending.

Trying to say they are exactly the same is just propaganda to make people feel stupid. Are they both going down paths that are everything but conservative, sure... that doesn't make them exactly the same.

Show me which ones of these are exactly the same: http://money.cnn.com/galleries/2008/...ection_issues/

If Obama really wanted to get out asap, he would be a viable choice for a lot more people. They both believe in the sham we call the "War on Terror". You should take a second look at Obama's stance here, he condones more occupation and specifically said he has no issue with sending troops in to sovereign nations without authorization.

Spot on would be to say that the US has no business in Georgia, if you would like to debate foreign policy and how our system is totally flawed and is leading us down the road to ruin, hand in hand, with our monetary policy, I am definitely up for it.

Mccain has done nothing to indicate lower spending, nothing, nada.

I already stated above what the key fundamental issues are. You can relate every single major issue in this country to big government, foriegn policy and most of all the monetary policy that is the enabler of the two previous.

Quote:

Show me which ones of these are exactly the same: Your Money: McCain vs. Obama - Issue #1: Election 2008 (1) - CNNMoney.com
[/quote]
Everything that is in the above link are proposed quick fixes for a broken system when the fundamentals aren't sound.(ie using jello for a house foundation) The monetary system in question is an out of control Fiat currency whose controller answers to no one and this is of course the Federal Reserve and is the enabler for all of our major problems:
war, huge government, foreign policy, welfare and on and on.

You now have a system that spends much more than it brings in, but how? We borrow money and consume, we are not borrowing money and using it to produce. But the major issue is we print it, which leads to inflation and Bernanke even admitted in front of congress it is a TAX(which for the savers of the country screws the living crap out of them by devaluing our currency). So if government stays huge(it should be a spec compared to its current size) and grows and your taxes don't increase you will still be taxed indirectly by inflation.
